126 cargo containers from Birgunj dry port move to destinations

BIRGUNJ, Nov 6: Authorities have dispatched 126 containers with imported goods from the Sisirya Dry Port in Birgunj on Wednesday night.

Due to the Tarai strikes protests, the goods imported from India and other countries had been stranded at the Dry Port for the last three months.

The cargo consisted of newsprint, fertilizers, mustard grain, clothes, fruit juice, biscuits, furniture, wine, peas, lead, etc, said Harihar Paudel, information officer at the customs office of the Dry Port.
