12 farmers looted

PARASI, Nov 8: A dozen farmers were looted in Nawalparasi district on Saturday night.



The farmers were robbed of more than Rs 100,000 in cash while they were returning home after selling paddy at Haranpur-9, Piparahawa, which is just 500 meters away from the Area Police Office, Amanigunj.



The incident was reported to police immediately, but security personnel have not been able to make arrests. Farmers said an unidentified gang of seven persons looted them.



Police said manhunt for the looters was underway.
