The tournament will feature eight teams, which includes three departmental teams and five regional teams. The eight teams are divided into two groups with defending champion Nepal Police Club, Central Region, Eastern Region and Mid-western Region placed in Group A. Group B consists of Tribhuvan Army Club, Armed Police Force, Western Region and Far-western Region.The top two teams after round-robin league from each group will progress to super league and the bottom two sides will be out of contention. The super league round will be played in a round-robin format. The top grossing team will be crowned the winner.
The winner and the runner-up will be rewarded with cash prizes of Rs 200,000 and Rs. 100,000 respectively. Similarly, the best players in various positions - goalkeeper, defense, midfield and forward along with the best coach will be rewarded with Rs 25,000 each.
The expected cost of the event is Rs 2.55 million. The five regional teams will receive Rs 68,000 as preparation fees.
