Wife of ex NIB chief held over forgery

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Prativa Sen Bhatta, spouse of former chief of National Investigation Department Ashok Dev Bhatta, has been held by police for her alleged involvement on cases of fraud.



Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Spokesperson at Metropolis Police Sector, said Bhatta was arrested on Thursday afternoon from New Baneshwor in the capital.



According to Singh, Sen Bhatta has been charged of collecting Rs 4.63 million from Yubraj Neupane, Kumar KC, Manoj Kumar Yadav, Ajay Chaudhary and Bishnu Dev Chaudhary luring them of job at the Department.



Sen Bhatta was arrested based on statements of Baidha Nath Prasad Karna and Kalpana Karna of Simara Bhadaiya-5, who were arrested recently.



Neupane and others had lodged a complaint at the Metropolis Police Criminal Division last week.
