Valley temperature goes further down

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Kathmandu valley witnessed the coolest time on Sunday morning in this winter season. The minimum temperature of the valley was recorded 0.2 degrees Celsius against 0.7 degrees Celsius of Saturday morning.



Chief of Meteorological Forecasting Division Rajendra Shrestha said, "Sunday morning was the coolest time of this year. Temperature could dip further as chances of rainfall are unlikely." [break]



He said temperature has dipped in all district expect in Tarai region.



Meanwhile, the thick fug and cold wave in Butwal since three weeks have paralyzed the normal life in the region.



So far, three persons died of clod in Rupandehi. The temperature in the district was recorded 4 degrees Celsius this morning.



Doctors in the hospital said that the patients of common cold, viral fever and pneumonia rose unexpectedly.



Likewise, the numbers of road accidents have shot up along the highway while the regular plane flights have been affected due to lack of airport´s visibility.
