Some companies are also conducting various contests through Facebook which has further helped them to enhance the business and gain popularity among customers.
C N Paudel, operation manager of Saleways Department Store, said Facebook has been helping them in brand establishment. “The advertisement through Facebook also gives many indirect benefits,” he added.

Most of the stores that have pages in Facebook update their pages regularly and also inform their customers regarding new arrivals and special offers.
Lakshman Shrestha, one of the proprietors of Sphinx-- a multi-brand store at City Centre said, Facebook marketing has helped them create a bond with customers. “Besides increasing business, Facebook marketing is a good way for earning goodwill, trust and loyalty of customers,” said Shrestha.
Sphinx instantly uploads pictures of products that it has introduced in the store. “Many customers visit our store and ask us to show products that they have seen in our Facebook page,” he added.
Cinema halls in the capital are also not far behind when it comes to using Facebook for brand promotion. Swoti Bajracharya, marketing assistant of QFX Cinemas, said around 50 percent of the people know about the latest releases through QFX´s Facebook page.
Shailendra Raj Giri, managing director of merojob.com - an employment portal, said Facebook has helped them promote the brand and maintain personal connection with the customers.
Traders say effective promotion through Facebook will save their advertisement costs and also bring an end to existing practice of inviting and convincing people to try their products.
