Vice-Chairman Rai, with various ethnic and Madhesi leaders of the party, has been boycotting the party meeting, showing dissatisfaction with the party on the decision of not adopting federalism based on single ethnic identity.[break]
Following the standing committee meeting of the party, Secretary Shankar Pokhrel said the party would however hold discussion on 9-point demands the disgruntled leaders put forth to the party establishment.
The party has also urged the disgruntled leaders to return to the party.
Earlier, the central disciplinary commission of the party had asked them for clarification but did not receive response on time.
Secretary Pokhrel further said the meeting pointed out the need of formation of a national consensus government and a protest for the way out to present impasse. However, decision to this effect would be made after some days.
The meeting also discussed the organizational structure, internal unity and statute convention.
