KATHMANDU, July 26: The Unified CPN (Maoist)-formed property probe committee has appealed to the public to register complaints, if any, against central members and leaders of the party who have amassed property illegally.

The ruling party had formed a three-member probe commission headed by central member Amik Sherchan after the party cadres accused leaders of accumulating property in an illegitimate manner at the seventh plenum held in Kathmandu from July 17-21. Lokendra Bista Magar and Nawaraj Subedi are members of the Commission.[break]

At a press conference organized at party headquarters Parisdanda on Thursday, the probe commission coordinator Sherchan asked one and all to file complaints along with evidence to verify their claims.

The complainant can submit an enveloped report to the party central office within August 1 starting today. Name of the complainant would be kept confidential, said coordinator Sherchan.

For the purpose, complaints could also be sent electronically through bist.lokendra@gmail.com, said Bista.

The tenure of the commission is of one month since it begins its work.
