Policeman Dhak Bahadur Chhetri and police Constable Surendra Bahadur Singh have been suspended informed, Deputy Superintendant of Police Uma Prasad Chaturbedi.
Having proved the fact that that they took bribe from hotel entrepreneurs, we suspended them and are further investigating the matter, Chaturbedi said.
"We received complaints about them demanding bribe, after investigation it was proved to be true," he said adding, "We are further investigating the matter."
The duo took bribe of Rs 1000 from Dil Bahadur Thapa, owner of the New Dhullubanskot Hotel after they found locals playing cards at the hotel.
"They demanded ten liters of petrol and failing to do so they threatened to arrest me. I was forced to pay them the money," said Thapa.
