According to the East Regional Traffic Police Office, Itahari, Mishreeelal Manik, 50, of Hanumannagar-2 in Saptari district died after a bus (Sa 1 Kha 518) heading towards Rajbiraj from Biratnagar met with an accident at Haripur road section.[break]
Manik died on the way to hospital. The injured in the same accident are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the district.
Similarly, Ranjina Pahadi, 8, of Sindhuli died after a jeep (Ba 3 Cha 4060) hit the girl at Udaypur-4. She died while undergoing treatment, said police.
Meanwhile, a policeman died in a mysterious condition at the major customs check point of Mahottari district, Bhiththamod, last night.
The deceased has been identified as Laxmi Jha, 30, of Pipara VDC-8 in Mahottari district.
The Border Police Post, Bhiththamod, found him in an unconscious condition at 10:30 pm.
Jha, a policeman at the Devadiha Police Post of Dhanusha district, had gone to Bhiththamod of India on Monday to repair a motorcycle and the Border Police Post found him in an unconscious state reportedly following an accident near Dasgaja.
Police said Jha´s death is mysterious as the body bears no injuries.
