Darbang, Niskot, Rum, Okharbot, Devisthan, Takam, Muna, Gurja, Lulam, Bim, Marang and Arman villages have seen price rise in daily commodities as the traffic disruption has halted the supply.

Now with the disruption of the route, transport charge for per kg of goods has increased by five folds. People have to pay up to Rs. 6 per kg of goods to transport it to the district via mules and porters after the obstruction of the route.

Prices of rice, pulse, edible oil and flour has gone up by Rs. 5 per kg in the district due to the traffic disruption.

Though the traffic disruption has hit the district folks hard, no steps have been taken so far from the government level to clear off the landslides and reopen the traffic, said Myagdi Chamber of Commerce and Industry member Bhim Bahadur Siuthani of Darbang.
