Three of a family killed in fire

DOLAKHA, March 11: A woman and her two daughters, including an infant, died after fire broke out in their house in Katakuti of Dolakha district on Wednesday night.

 

Pramila Karki, 23 and her daughters - three-year-old Suprabha and a nine-month-older - died in the fire that broke out in their house in Laptantole of Katakuti-6, according to Dolakha District Police Office. [break]



The dead body of the nine-month-old unidentified infant has not been found.



Pramila´s husband Sudip was in Kathmandu when the fire broke out. Police said the fire was caused by short circuit at 10:30 p.m.



Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh said a police team led by Inspector Krishna Kumar Shrestha doused the fire, but could not save the three.



The fire completely destroyed the house, apart from killing cattle.
