Three Madhesi parties to stay neutral in PM voting

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: The three Madhes-based parties—Madhesi People’s Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D), Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) and Sadbhawana Party (SP)—have decided to stay neutral even in the seventh round of prime ministerial election slated for Tuesday, chief whip of MPRF-D Ram Janam Chaudhary informed.



Though the official stance will be made public after a joint meeting scheduled at 12:30 pm, the parties are presently busy in their internal parleys. [break]



United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), an alliance of four Madhes-based parties, witnessed a split after MPRF lawmakers decided to boycott the sixth round of prime ministerial election against UDMF stance to stay neutral.



Meanwhile, the other three parties conformed to the alliance´s stance by staying neutral in the PM voting.
