Three killed in separate accidents

NAWALPARASI, March 17: A nine-year-old boy died on the spot after a truck hit him at Mugling Bazaar on Tuesday evening.



Abdul Miyan, a resident of Mugling, died when he was hit by a truck with registration number Na 2 Kha 4651.



The truck was going towards Narayangadh from Kathmandu, the Area Police Office, Mugling, said. Police have impounded the truck and its driver.[break]



Angry locals and relatives of the deceased boy disrupted the highway at Mugling for four hours calling for compensation.



Meanwhile, 17-year-old Parbat Lawoti of Panchthar Bharapa-3 died on the spot after falling off a moving bus. The bus was going towards Jhapa from Taplejung.



Similarly, in Biratnagar, a man died in a road accident on the Biratnagar-Jogbani road section last night. He died in a collision between a van and a truck.



The deceased is Pintu Saha of Jogbani, India, according to the Area Police Office, Rani. Three Nepalese and one Indian national were injured in the accident.



The van with registration number Ba 5 Cha 59 coming towards Biratnagar from Jogbani and the truck with Indian registration number PB 08 PC 9486 collided head on. The driver of the Indian truck is on the run.
