Three Indian-registered bikes crash in Sarlahi, two killed

The accident occurred at around 8 pm Wednesday along the Bake Sangrampur road section in Ward 13 of Ishwarpur Municipality. Three motorcycles with Indian registration were involved in the accident, killing 35-year-old Mukesh Rai and 30-year-old Ram Gyan Rai of Mirchaiya, Ward 9 of Haripurwa Municipality.

Rautahat, Feb 19: Two people died and two others were injured in a road accident in Sarlahi.

The accident occurred at around 8 pm Wednesday along the Bake Sangrampur road section in Ward 13 of Ishwarpur Municipality. Three motorcycles with Indian registration were involved in the accident, killing 35-year-old Mukesh Rai and 30-year-old Ram Gyan Rai of Mirchaiya, Ward 9 of Haripurwa Municipality.


The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Police found all three motorcycles with Indian number plates, BR 30 AR 3458, BR 30 AP 3809, and HP 55 C 0623, in damaged condition at the scene.


Police rescued four injured persons and sent them by ambulance to Model Hospital in Lalbandi for treatment. Among them, 22-year-old Bikram Rai and 42-year-old Ram Bishwas Rai of Haripurwa Municipality-9 sustained minor leg injuries.


Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai of the Kesharganj Area Police Office said the injured are under police supervision. He added that the bodies of the deceased have been kept at the government hospital for postmortem.
