NEPALGUNJ, Oct 9: Several teachers´ unions here on Saturday staged protests against the murder of students Kapil Dwivedi and Liladhar Bhatta. They have demanded stern action against the guilty and appropriate compensation to victims´ families.

Kapil was killed even though the family had paid the kidnappers one million rupees as ransom. The ransom amount has not been recovered from kidnappers despite the arrest of one Meraj Ahmed Sai, the main accused.

Meraj reportedly told the police during interrogations that the money is with another accused Suresh Barma, who is at large.
