Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, PM Bhattarai said, “I want to request all Sumeru staffers to treat the poor and rich patients equally. I am sure Sumeru will set an example.”[break]
Speaking at the function Dr DB Karki, senior surgeon and founding member of Sumeru, said Sumeru will set an example by providing people affordable medical services. The 100-bed hospital aims to provide international quality services at an affordable price.

Anil Kumar Jha (Minister of Industries), Giriraj Mani Pokhrel (Ex Health Minister), Ek Nath Dhakal (Minister of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation), Binod Raj Gyawali (Managing Director at Nepal Republic Media) had also attended the inauguration of the hospital.
Sumeru had organized a free health camp at Dhapakhel before commencement. Over 10,000 people had been provided free health check up in the camp.
