Koirala visited Palpa, Syangja, Kaski and Tanahu asking for votes.[break]
Stating that consensus, cooperation and unity among political forces in the country is a must, Koirala said the country disintegrate if the parties failed adhere to these principles repeatedly stressed by her late father Girija Prasad Koirala.
Koirala asked the party cadres to support her. “I hope that you all will support me as you did to my father in the past,” she said while addressing party cadres in Kaski District Committee Office on Friday.
She said that she would consolidate the party´s organizational strength if she gets elected as the party´s general secretary. She also said she would take initiatives for the construction of office buildings of all district committees of the party.
NC´s invitee central working member Shukra Raj Sharma said NC Kaski District Committee will support Koirala´s candidacy for general secretary. NC Kaski District Committee President Yagya Bahadur Thapa also said that Koirala was the deserving candidate for the post.
