Offices, factories, industries, markets, shops and other businesses in the districts remained closed.
In Chitwan, vehicles remained off the road and businesses were closed. The party leaders in the district said they have not barred ambulances, press and emergency vehicles from plying.
Life in Bara, Parsa and Rautahat district was also badly affected.
The party, which has been protesting against the Constituent Assembly´s decision to adopt federal system from the very beginning, earlier enforced general strike in other parts of the country.
