The taskforce has not met since its last meeting on March 28. "The taskforce is meeting on Tuesday," said Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta, a member on the taskforce. "The progress of the taskforce will depend on how the Maoists will present themselves in the Tuesday´s meeting.”
Prime Minister´s Press Advisor Surya Thapa told Republica that the prime minister, who is also the convener of the Special Committee, has directed the taskforce to hold meeting regularly.
The prime minister on Monday called an informal meeting of the taskforce to take stock of the progress made so far. Each member has been asked to come with views of their respective party on the modality of integration and rehabilitation for the Tuesday´s meeting.
