Usha KC stars in St Xavier´s win
KATHMANDU: Usha KC scored all four goals in St Xavier School´s (Godavari) 4-0 win over DAV School on Wednesday in the central region qualifiers of Coca Cola Cup Inter-school Girl´s Football Tournament being held in the Chyasal ground. KC scored in the 37th, 44th, 48th and 68th minutes. In another match, Apple Academy defeated Niten Memorial 4-3 in sudden death. The fate of the winner was decided through tiebreaker following a goalless draw during the regulation time.
Indian govt provides bus to ANFA
KATHMANDU: The government of India gave a 32-seater bus to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Wednesday on the occasion of the 66th Independence Day of India. Jayanta Prasad, the Indian ambassador to Nepal handed over the keys of Eicher bus to ANFA Vice President Narendra Shrestha during a function in the capital. According to ANFA the bus will be used for transporting ANFA Academy players and national players.
