Thapa said even if the political situation became normal, ANFA lacks the time for preparation. “However, the qualifying round of the tournament will be held in Nepal. It may be postponed for at least for one week to a month,” said Thapa. Nepal was to host Jordan, Yemen, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan in the AFC U-22 Asia Cup Group D Qualifiers.
NSKA referee seminar Tuesday
KATHMANDU: The technical and referee seminar under Sixth NSKA International Karate Championship 2012 will kick off in Kathmandu from Tuesday. Shyam Sherpa, the member secretary of the main organizing committee and general secretary of Nepal Shotokam Karate Association (NSKA) said the seminar will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday and the three-day championship will start from Thursday.
The championship will be participated in by more than 1,000 players from nine countries including host Nepal and Japan. 100 players from Nepal, two from Japan, 18 from UAE, 20 each from Sri Lanka and Pakistan, three each from Bangladesh and Ghana, nine from Afghanistan and more than 800 from India will participate in the tournament.
