Special Committee holds meeting

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The secretariat under the Special Committee presented statistical details about the re-grouping of Maoist combatants during the SC meeting held at its office in Singha Durbar on Sunday afternoon.



On the occasion, the secretariat notified that of the total combatants taking part in the regrouping, 9,690 opted for integration, 7,286 for voluntary retirement and the remaining six for rehabilitation. [break]



Likewise, the SC directed its secretariat to come up with a plan for moving ahead the ongoing peace process and carrying out works related to physical infrastructural developments at the cantonments.



The SC will next meet on December 16.
