Ek Bahadur Gurung had collapsed while participating in a five-kilometer marathon. He died Monday while undergoing treatment at the regional hospital.
Similarly, another soldier posted at Sardul Company in Nawalparasi died after falling into the Narayani River on Monday. He was among four soldiers traveling on a boat that overturned.
The other three swam to safety.
