Sisters die in Pokhara accident

POKHARA, Nov 3: Two college-going sisters were killed Tuesday morning after their scooter was hit by a bus carrying college students in Ranipauwa here.



Among those dead are Sita Khawas, 24, and her younger sister Diya Khawas, 20. Originally from Kavre, they were residing in Ranipauwa-10, Pokhara.



Police said the scooter (Ga 2 Pa 1484) was hit by a bus (Ga 1 Ka 865) belonging to Western Regional Higher Secondary School located in Gairhapatan at 6 a.m. Tuesday. The girls were traveling to Pokhara College of Technology.



Police have taken the bus and its driver under control.
