NEPALGUNJ, June 8: Authorities in Kohalpur Municipality have suspended classes at all community and private schools for three days beginning Sunday as soaring temperatures continue to affect daily life across Banke and other Tarai districts.

Ravilal Mijar, chief of the municipality’s Education and Sports Section, said the decision was taken due to concerns that extreme heat and hot winds could adversely affect students' health.

The closure applies to all 83 schools operating within the municipality, including 33 community schools and 50 private institutions, and will remain in effect from June 8 to 10.
