What was limited to just knowledge changed when Koirala joined Ncell three years ago. She gives credit to the company for making her explore gadgets.[break]
She now goes gadget-hunting whenever she’s traveling. Her children, Shayesta and Serene, too share her passion for gadgets and claim whatever she brings home. Sometimes, Koirala gets to use something she has eagerly bought for herself after her kids are bored and done with it.
“When I got an iPad, my kids wouldn’t let me touch it. They would be using it all the time and some days we would even have fights over it,” says Koirala, adding that she must’ve mourned for a week at least when she lost the iPad sometime back.

Koirala isn’t a big touch-screen fanatic though she chose to buy an iPad. “The thing about Apple products is that they are fascinating. You just have to own one,” says Koirala who owned an iPhone before she switched to her now-prized Blackberry phones.
By now a self-confessed gadget freak, Koirala loves romancing technology and doesn’t tire of them that easily but rather gets quite attached to them.
Looking through her vast collection of electronic products will leave you wanting to buy one of them even if you really don’t need it. That’s the effect this young and vivacious lady’s gadgets have on you.
Canon 550DKoirala likes taking pictures even though she’s shy about being clicked on herself. The Canon 550D is the best camera in an affordable price range.
The outstanding 18MP CMOS sensor that produces images even in incredibly low light makes it an ideal camera for those who want to create large, poster-size prints or crop images without losing any of the detail necessary for printing.
“I like taking pictures of other people and wish to take part in competitions that all these photography organizations keep coming up with,” says Koirala as she fingers the lenses and delicately puts them back in the camera bag.
Nokia Booklet 3GWhen Nokia launched a special edition netbook, Koirala had to have it. She’s glad she made the purchase as it has excellent battery life and also supports 3G. The small and light netbook makes working while commuting and traveling fun and hassle-free.
The notebook is a wonderful piece of engineering. From extended battery life, integrated 3G modem to a fan-free design, the notebook or booklet, is a delight to have and hold. The 10.1-inch netbook is one of the best looking netbooks in the market and weighs just 1.2 kg.
Sony Vaio Y Series

This pink notebook is Koirala’s recent purchase. The Sony VAIO Y series laptop weighs just 3.23lbs, making it a traveler’s dream as it’s compact and light. The series comes in two colors, pink and silver, and Koirala opted for the pink one as she wanted a gadget that was girly.
“After all, I’m a girl at heart,” says Koirala with an infectious laugh. The matte finish makes it easy to keep it clean as it doesn’t show any fingerprints even when you touch it repeatedly.
Blackberry Bold

Proud owner of two Blackberry Bold phones, one in white and the other in black, Koirala confesses that she’s in love with them.
“It’s a mini computer. I can do everything with it and it’s so convenient with the full keypad,” says Koirala, adding that she can’t get herself to switch phones as Blackberry is a corporate phone that makes her life a lot easier.
Samsung Galaxy III
The latest Android smartphone by Samsung was on Koirala’s wish list and now she has one. She already likes the feel of it and can’t wait to use it.
“I have yet to get a new SIM card and start using this phone and I’m already excited about it,” she says as she takes out the brand-new phone out of its box. The phone has been recently launched in Kathmandu and Koirala is blissfully happy that she already owns one and says she’ll enjoy figuring out what all it has to offer. The phone, even with the extra large 12.2 centimeter display, feels feather-light.
HP Elite Book 2540P
Koirala uses this notebook to work when she’s in office. Billed as an ultraportable notebook, the main body is encased by a hard plastic and strong magnesium alloy giving it a sturdy feel that can possibly withstand years of abuse.

Though it’s slightly heavier than most notebooks, the strength factor outweighs that issue.
The 12-inch anti-glare widescreen with excellent color and contrast makes it a perfect choice if you’re someone who likes watching movies.
