KAVREPALANCHOK, March 28: An employee of the Division Road Office, Bhaktapur, died when the flood-fed Roshi Rivulet swept him away following Friday evening rainfall.
Kunsang Tamang, around 40 years old, from Roshi Rural Municipality-7, died in the flooding, the Area Police Office, Mangaltar, confirmed.

Mangaltar police chief Inspector Iswor Karki said that preliminary investigations found Tamang was a permanent employee working on the under-construction BP Highway at night.
According to the police, Tamang was swept away while trying to rescue two people on a motorbike who were attempting to cross the river at night. The flood carried away one motorcycle and one electric vehicle.
Meanwhile, traffic along the BP Highway was disrupted due to Friday evening rainfall. Traffic was blocked from 6:00 pm at various locations in the Bhakunde–Nepalthok section of the highway due to landslides.
According to the District Traffic Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, traffic was obstructed at Biruwanda, Kaldhunga, Chaukidanda, and Mangaltar due to landslides and flooding after a rise in the water level of the Khahare River.
