KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Right activists have continued their sit-in in front of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai´s official residence in Baluwatar to draw his attention on crime against women on Saturday as well.

They have demanded justice to Sita Rai (name changed), who was robbed by an official of the Department of Immigration (DoI) and allegedly raped by a police constable later on November 21.

They have also demanded a high-level probe into the mysterious death of Saraswati Subedi, 31, and to nab her landlord Krishna Prasain. Subedi was found dead on Dec 16 in Prasain´s house at Anamnagar.

Addressing the sit-in, a women activist Renu Rajbhandaari claimed that the case of Subedi was cold-blooded murder committed by the landlord Prasain and demanded for strong action against the culprit.

On Friday also, people from various walks of life had turned up in front of the PM´s residence demanding justice to Rai and Subedi.
