On Wednesday, the Supreme Court ordered the PIC not to collect or investigate anyone's asset details until a final verdict is delivered on the writ petition filed by Manaram Upadhyay.

Earlier, following another Supreme Court order issued on July 13, the PIC had resumed collecting asset declarations from political office-bearers and public officials, excluding former judges, former constitutional office-holders, and former Nepal Army officials.

The PIC, based at Keshar Mahal, said the asset declaration process initiated under Notice No. 4 published on July 13 has also been suspended in line with the court's latest order.
