The president, as usual, reiterated the need for consensus among the major political parties for finding a way out of the political stalemate. "But this time the president urged the prime minister with special emphasis to take initiatives of his own toward consensus," Dahal told Republica.
Dahal explained that the president pressed the prime minister in this fashion as there seemed no alternative to seeking a solution through harmony among major political forces.
In response, the prime minister clarified that he would not be an obstacle to finding a solution among the major parties. "I am also for finding a way out through political consensus," Dahal quoted the prime minister as saying.
The president reminded the prime minister that there has been no progress in creating an environment for fresh polls although a month has already passed since the date for fresh polls was announced by the prime minister.
