LALITPUR, July 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has observed the Bhotojatra festival at Jawalakhel Friday afternoon.
On the occasion, Acting Chief of Guthi Sansthan, Lalitpur, Baikuntha Acharya, displayed the bhoto (jewel-studded vest) from all four corners of the chariot.
President Bhandari paid homage to the Rato Machhindranath and received prasad. She also visited the living Goddess on the occasion.
Present on the occasion were Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Onsari Gharti, Deputy Prime Minister Bhim Rawal and Ministers.
The idol of Rato Machhindranath has now been taken towards Bungamati. RSS
