Police, protesters clash in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR, Aug 31: Police and protesters clashed in Biratnagar today afternoon in which a policeman sustained injuries.

Police have arrested five protesters in this connection. The clash occurred as the protesters who were enforcing a shutdown tried to stop a motorcycle at local Shantichowk and the police tried to apprehend them.


Police constable Khil Bahadur Magar has sustained minor injuries from the assault of the protesters. He is undergoing treatment at the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar. RSS
