PM flying to Bihar on army chopper

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai is set to fly to Bihar, India, on a Nepal Army helicopter to attend a conference on the third week of February.



"He (the PM) will charter Nepal Army´s 16-seat Sky Truck chopper for his visit to Bihar," informed the PM’s press advisor Ram Rijhan Yadav on Thursday. [break]



"Who else will be accompanying him has not been finalized yet," Yadav added. PM Bhattarai is attending the three-day international meet ´Global Summit on Changing Bihar: Forging Partnership for Development,´ slated for February 17-19 in Patna, Bihar.



The chopper will be chartered for approximately five hours, with the cost rate at USD1,640 per hour.



PM Bhattarai, Bihar´s Chief Minister  Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi are scheduled to address the seminar.



Besides, Narayan Murthy, chairman of Infosys Technology Limited, YK Algh, a former federal  minister and VS Vyas, the Indian PM´s economical advisor, among others, will be participating in the seminar.
