Peace process to move ahead after Dashain: DPM

BIRATNAGAR, Oct 4: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar has said the works on army integration and peace process would be accelerated with extensive homework after the Dashain festival.



DPM Gachchhadar, arrived Biratnagar on Tuesday to go to his home district, Sunsari, for the celebration of the Dashain, told journalists that the disputes and protest over the induction of Madhesi youths to the national security had devalued the spirit of Madhesi community.[break]



Protesting inclusive military was unfortunate, he said, questioning whether the Madhesis had the right to realize themselves within Nepal.



Also the Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik), DPM Gachchhadar said as many as 10,000 Madhesi youths could be inducted gradually in the national army to make it inclusive and democratic.



He accused the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML of fomenting conflict between the people from hills and Madhes.



Moreover, DPM Gachchhadar said it was reasonable to increase the allowance to the Maoist fighters because the government employees’ had their salaries hiked.
