Peace process shadows due to power practice: Sushil Koirala

NEPALGUNJ, Feb. 20: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala said Unified CPN-Maoist and CPN-UML put constitution writing and peace process on shadow due to their parties’ interest.[break]



Congratulating the newly elected members of Federation of Nepal Journalism (FNJ) from Banke Chapter, at his resident in Nepalgunj on Sunday, he said, there is no alternative to consensus among the political parties to take the peace and constitution writing process to the logical conclusion.



“The unsacred alliance between CPN-UML and Unified CPN-Maoist lead the nation towards complexity when there is the need for national consensus, unity and collaboration among parties for peace and constitution writing,” said NC President Koirala.



Talks that are held among the political parties keeping their party interests in the center, he said. Congress is ready to have maximum flexibility for democracy.



He said media persons should play responsible role to bring political parties at a place for consensus and conclude the peace and constitution writing process.
