In a meeting of the Legislature-Parliament Saturday, Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang read out a letter received from President Ram Baran Yadav announcing the prorogation of the summer session.
On the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, the President sent the letter to this end to the parliament.
The session that kicked off on October 2 continued for 82 days. It had met 44 times, spending 141 hours and 20 minutes.
The session endorsed the government policy and programmes and unveiled budget for the current fiscal year. A total of 39 government bills were registered at the House during this period. RSS
