Panel to probe attack on DSP

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Nepal Police has formed a committee to probe into the incident in which Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dilip Chaudhary was attacked by the Maoists in Baneshwar.



The committee led by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Kiran Kumar Timalsina comprises Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ganga Pandey and Parashu Ram Khatri. The committee will submit its report within a week.



Maoists had attacked Chaudhary on the first day of their three-day general strike leaving severe injuries on his head. Chaudhary, who had been receiving treatment at Neuro Hospital, is recuperating.
