Twenty-five-year-old Krishna Sapkota of local Amarapuri VDC-6 died on the spot while disembarking from the bus that was heading to Sunauli from Baglung.
Police have impounded the bus and arrested its driver.
Meanwhile, eight persons were injured in a road accident in east Chitwan on Tuesday night.
Eight passengers traveling in a bus (Na 3 Kha 6581) were injured after the bus hit a truck in the rear.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur.
Police suspect the accident was caused due to foggy weather.
