One dies, 15 houses collapse due to rain in Dhading

GAJURI, Dhading, June 27: One person died in Gumdi VDC due to rains and 15 houses and three schools collapsed in various parts of the district.



Police said Jumansingh Gurung, 68, of Chimchok in Gumdi VDC died as the paddy store collapsed.[break]



Fifteen houses including in Gumdi, Fulkharka, Mulpani, and Baseri VDCs have been collapsed from landslides.



School buildings of Panchakanya Primary Budhathum, Devisthan Primary of Baseri and Baseri Secondary School have also collapsed.



Manapang River has also washed away more than 50 hectares of land and has damaged Manapang Micro Hydro and the Andherikhola Micro Hydro has also been damaged from rains, said a local Shambhu Thapa.
