One dead, 44 injured in accident

PANITANKI, Morang, Jan 16: One person died and 44 were injured in the accident of the vehicle Ko 1 Kha 1013 that took place on Friday while returning from the Maghe Sankranti fair or Maimela of Jhapa.



A passenger Sundas Pariyar died when the bus overturned in Belbari at 9:00 pm last night.



Police suspected that the bus could not sustain the pressure of passengers, as it was old.



The injured are undergoing treatment at BPKIHS Dharan, Biratnagar and local hospital, said Police Inspector Dil Bahadur Subedi.
