The deceased has been identified as Ram Prakash Thakur, 30 of Kalyanpur, Saptari. Thakur´s motorcycle (Sa 3 Pa 1881) had collided head-on with another bike (Ko 1 Pa 400), coming from the opposite direction. [break]
A passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 3064) plying on the road at the time of the collision had again hit both the uncontrolled motorcycles, informed Dhakendra Khatiwada, inspector at the ward police office, Lahan.
According to an eye witness, Pankaj Sah, both the motorcycles borne were unhurt even after the collision but Thakur was killed after the bus hit the bikes.
Thakur did not have anybody riding as pillion on his bike, while the other motorcyclist, along with two children riding as pillion have been injured in the accident.
The injured are identified as, Manoj Gupta, 28 of Saptari, Ranjit Gupta, 6 and Madhuri Gupta 4. Ranjit, who has sustained fatal injury on the head, is in a critical condition, informed Pashupati Chaudhary, doctor at Sapta Rishi Hospital.
Police are further investigating the case.
