NWA Chairperson Dila Sangroula gave information about this at a press meet organized at the Reporters´ Club on Monday. Speaking at the program she demanded that a strict law be introduced and implemented against the women violence.
Expressing grave concern over the rising incidents of women violence in the country, Dr Sangroula said 88 women lost their lives in the violence against them this year in Nepal. She urged the political leadership to come up with a strict law against the violence against women.
Twenty-eight women leaders have been assigned to launch the protest programs in all 14 zones across the country. The Association has planned to organize a corner meet on January 8, submit a memorandum to the political parties on January 10 and hold a protest assembly on January 11 against the violence against women.
