Koirala, 40, a resident of Inaruwa Municipality-7, was killed after the motorcycle (Ko 3 PA 2786) he was riding rammed into a stationary truck (Na 1 Kha 7870) at Bhokraha-5 of Sunsari district.
Koirala is also the treasurer of the Nepali Congress Sunsari district committee.
Issuing separate press statements, Nepali Congress (NC) Acting President Sushil Koirala, Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and NSU General Secretary Manoj Mani Acharya expressed deep sorrow over his untimely death.
