Nisha wins silver in South Korea

KATHMANDU, July 19: Nisha Rawal on Sunday bagged silver in the Jeonju Open International Taekwondo Championship being held in South Korean city of Jeonju. Nisha bagged the medal in 67 kg and above section, according to coach Norbu Lama.

Nisha, who got bye in the first round, defeated Korean opponent 17-4 in the semifinal.

However, Nisha faced defeat in the final against a local opponent in sudden death. The three rounds of the game had ended with 4-4 tie. However, SitaTamang (U-49 kg) and NimaGurung (U-53 kg) failed in their encounters. Nepal team members were in South Korea since taking part in the 28th Summer Universiade Games.
