Nepali pilgrims dead

MADURAI, March 19: Two pilgrims from Nepal, including a 70-year old woman, were killed and three others injured when their car rammed into a lorry near Madurai in Tamilnadu, India, on Thursday.



The pilgrims had engaged a taxi from Chennai and were on way to Rameswaram when the car hit the lorry from behind after the driver lost control of the vehicle, police said.



Lalbabu Shah (42) and his mother Deepti Shah died on the spot while his wife Annapoorna Shah (35) and daughter Deepa Shah (15) and car driver were injured in the mishap near Melur.
