Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies (NAFEA), on Thursday had asked NRNA-Bahrain to clarify situation of Nepalis after three were killed and hundreds injured in the protests.
NAFEA has also written to the government to take precautionary steps to protect Nepali workers in Bahrain and sent a circulation to all of its member agencies to not send workers to Bahrain for the time being.
About 30,000 Nepalis are believed to be working in Bahrain, most to them based around Sitra.
“The situation at places where majority of Nepalese live is normal,” NRNA-Bahrain said.
