Nepal-Bangladesh trade talks begins

KATHMANDU, July 29: The fourth Nepal-Bangladesh commerce ministers level meeting stated to hold discussion on the enhancement and facilitation of bilateral trade has begun in the capital on Sunday.



During the bilateral meeting, the 15-member Nepali side is headed by Secretary at Ministry of Commerce and Supply Lalmani Joshi while 8-member Bengali team is under the leadership of Commerce Secretary Mohammad Gulam. [break]



The meeting will discuss on the ways to allow entry of some products in the both the country´s markets without any tariff and to remove difficulties emerged along the Panityanki-Kakadbhitta and Fulbari-Banglabandh route, said Secretary Joshi.



Likewise, the meeting will also hold discussion on the use of Rohanpur-Singhabad road section.



Though Bangladesh has provided Chatgaun-Modla dry port to Nepal for international trade, its use is still a far cry.
