DHANGADI, July 27: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has said there will be no development in the country unless there is peace, law and order and stability.

Inaugurating the Central Council meeting of the Nepal Electricity Authority Employees Association on Friday, President Koirala said Nepal could not utilize the water resources even if it is the second richest country in water resources because of lack of peace and stability. [break]

It is sad that we have to live in darkness in a country which is a storehouse of electricity generation, he said. Koirala also said those obstructing the wave of democracy will be defeated by themselves.

He blamed the UCPN (Maoist) of totalitarianism as it declared election without forging consensus. The NEA staff gathering had 400 representatives and 200 observers.
