The government has made financial irregularities of billions of rupees in the name of increasing the capacity of Upper Trishuli Hydropower Project, NC leader Mahat said and urged the President to remove the Bhattarai-led government on the same charge.[break]
Talking to the media persons at Tamghas of Gulmi district today, Mahat said the nation should not be made a hostage of indecision in the name of political consensus. "Now President should take a bold step and the nation should not be made a prisoner of indecision," said Mahat.
NC leader Mahat claimed that Maoists´ desire for capturing the state power and power-hungry nature of Madhes centric parties were the obstacle to the national consensus. He warned of taking to the street if the President did not take initiatives to end the current political deadlock.
